Contact the UA AFROTC staff at afrotc@ua.edu to see if you are eligible prior to enrolling in AFROTC.
When approved, follow the instructions in the New Applicant Guide/Checklist for Enrollment Completion below.

Complete Application Packet
Completing enrollment paperwork is required for participation in AFROTC, but does not incur any service commitment.

Enroll in UA Aerospace Studies Course
As an inbound Freshman, you will need to ask your academic advisor to register you for AFS 101 and AFS 110.
As an inbound Sophomore, you will need to ask your academic advisor to register you for AFS 101, AFS 110, and AFS 230.
All other cases should contact our staff at afrotc@ua.edu for more information.

**The sports physical must be completed no earlier than 30 Days prior to the start of the fall semester.**
All enrollment paperwork can be completed in our offices, or if you’d like to get a head start and complete it during the summer, you can scan and send it to us electronically. For the forms that require a signature from a witness, you will need to wait to sign until our staff can witness you sign, or you can have a local notary witness you sign. Make sure you get the notary to stamp the forms!
Reserved University Housing for AFTROTC Cadets
Detachment 010 cadets have access to on-campus housing options that are reserved exclusively for AFROTC participants. There is a limited supply of AFROTC suites and rooms in the Riverside East residential building which are allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. Below is a map of Riverside East’s location on campus and a layout of the suite-style dorm offered to AFROTC cadets.
If interested in living in one of the allocated suites/rooms, please contact the UA AFROTC staff at afrotc@ua.edu to check availability.
