Name: Brett Stackpole
Hometown: Dow, Illinois Class year: Junior Major: Aerospace Engineering Desired Career Field: Pilot/Combat Rescue Officer Extracurricular Activities/Sports/Hobbies: Aviation, Waterskiing, Hockey Something unique about myself: Almost won the intramural softball championship. Favorite thing about being in AFROTC: The friendships Most challenging part of being in AFROTC: Attention Management What leadership opportunities have you been given as a cadet in AFROTC? I was given the opportunity to lead my own group of 12 students, training and guiding them on their own journey through college and AFROTC. I was also assigned to oversee physical fitness training for all 70 cadets at our detachment for the Spring 22 semester. What advice would you give a student thinking about becoming a cadet? If you are interested in serving your country, living for a purpose greater than yourself, or just pushing yourself towards your maximum potential, I would highly recommend joining AFROTC.
